Constantly improving our skill set

We are constantly improving our ability to serve our clients through research and seminars.

In our effort to be constantly improving our service to our clients we make an effort to do research, reading and other training. We recently went to Los Angeles to attend VidSummit on August 20-22.

This seminar and workshop was a result of the efforts of Derral Eves, a very knowledgeable YouTube and video marketing expert.

constantly improving

Jim Penrose, right with Derral Eves.

For three solid days, we got to learn from of a wide variety of experts who are, by their unanimous admission, constantly improving themselves.

Topics ranged from video marketing for local businesses through leveraging YouTube to create huge money-making opportunities through brand building. We heard from folks who had literally made millions of dollars through their YouTube accounts.

The key to leveraging YouTube for big paydays is to be constantly improving.

In this case, constantly improving means that channel owners or managers must frequently test, and check their analytics. That’s how they are constantly improving. We are prepared to do that for clients and will shortly announce a very exciting client who will be relying on us to do just that.

We are constantly improving for our clients!

San Francisco Business Video – Our Specialty

Since getting our start shooting San Francisco business videos through our Bay Area video production company Penrose Productions in 1981, we have been committed to creating high quality, business videos for our clients.

For sales and marketing videos, we emphasize the creation of outstanding videos that present our clients’ products and/or services in a way that gets customers to buy, or at least consider buying, from our clients.

But yet another category of Silicon Valley and San Francisco business video productions that we often do might be considered communications videos. Often these will document the meetings, seminars, proceedings, training, etc. of our clients so that the information can be more widely disseminated. These meetings vary in their interest to us as observers. Of course, the content is not designed to appeal to us, but rather to the client’s target market, whether an internal or external audience.

We consider it a plus when the content is something to which we can actually understand or can relate.

If we can actually apply the content to our own lives or business, that’s a huge plus.

As an example of the opposite, when we shoot high tech training as we so often do with Silicon Valley video productions, we can be totally lost when listening to content about advanced electrical engineering and computer science.

In contrast to this, we were recently shooting a San Francisco business video for a top insurance company’s management meeting at the Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco.  This was our sixth straight year shooting and editing for this company and we find the whole experience a consistently interesting one. The content of the 3-day meeting was not about insurance, but rather sought to promote dialogue with the nearly one hundred management attendees as the company worked on growth strategies to get to the next level of revenue and profitability.

San Francisco training videoAs I listened to the discussions on business development and strategy it took me back to my graduate school days at the University of California.  The work was led by outside consultants from Management Systems of Los Angeles. As the company principals led the group in their work, it was eerily similar to being in the classroom getting my MBA in Berkeley all over again.  I found myself not just overseeing the recording of the event, but I was inspired and renewed in my original vision to provide amazing San Francisco business video production to businesses large and small. Many of the management concepts shared in the meeting were lessons I originally learned at Cal, and it was inspiring to get a “refresher course” on these principles.

The truth is, I often get involved in the day to day operations of running the video production.

But this time it was a treat (and an annual one at that with this client) that allowed me to also hear top-flight consultants and apply their lessons on strategy and tactics to our own company.  It served to re-engergize me and helps me look at the big picture for Penrose Productions.

At Penrose we have a passion to ignite the Bay Area business community with a desire to share and expand their business concepts through San Francisco business videos.  Now more than ever, video is the key to conveying a positive image of your products, services and overall company vision.   The problem is, many businesses still try to “do it themselves” and end up shooting themselves in the foot.  I made a commitment to quality video production back in grad school and that has never changed.  Just as with hiring any expert, videos from a professional Bay Area video production company can help take businesses to the next level.

As I reflect back on the many videos we’ve done through the years, I realize that San Francisco video production has changed a great deal over the years.

Penrose Productions has always remained at the forefront of producing San Francisco business videos in both quality and customer service.
